According to Variety, WB Games has established a new leadership team and restructured its operations into divisions based on its four core franchises: Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Mortal Kombat, and the DC Universe.
Three current studio heads were promoted to senior vice president roles as part of WB Games’ restructuring:
- Yves Lachance, head of WB Games Montréal studio, was promoted to Senior Vice President of Development, overseeing development teams working on Harry Potter and Game of Thrones games;
- Shaun Himmerick, head of NetherRealm Studios, was promoted to Senior Vice President of Development, overseeing Mortal Kombat and DC games;
- Steven Flenory, head of WB Games New York studio, was promoted to Senior Vice President of Technology and Central Services, overseeing game tech and publishing, customer service, quality assurance, and user research.
All teams will report to Lachance and Himmerick “aligned to the franchises for which they are creating games.” Under the new leadership structure, Lachance, Himmerick, and Flenory will report directly to J.B. Perrette, Global CEO of Streaming and Games at Warner Bros Discovery.
Variety confirmed this restructuring did not include layoffs or executive departures.
