Kwalee and independent studio Fallen Tree Games have announced a new content update for The Precinct, the open-world action game with a neon-noir aesthetic. The update will be available for free later this week on PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The new The Precinct update brings two new features: Solo Mode and expanded vehicle and character customization options.
In Solo Mode, players can tackle crime alone, giving their soon-to-retire partner a well-deserved break. The 6 police cars now also feature 5 new skins, which can be applied to the entire fleet or just the player’s patrol car. Additionally, protagonist Officer Nick Cordell Jr. gets a style upgrade with a range of cosmetic items. Players can now choose from 10 outfits, 8 hats, and 4 types of glasses, allowing each player to customize their appearance according to their policing approach.
A love letter to classic cop films, The Precinct combines police simulation details with action spectacle in a sandbox. Patrol the streets and respond to calls to combat petty and/or powerful criminals. Choose your own tactics in thrilling chases and shootouts. Experience the shifting gang power struggles in the city of Averno in a living city packed with procedurally generated crimes, from traffic violations to bank heists, street races, and drug trafficking.
