Capcom has announced that Free Title Update 2 is now available for Monster Hunter Wilds.

The long-awaited return of Lagiacrus is finally a reality in Monster Hunter Wilds with Free Title Update 2! But the legendary Leviathan doesn’t arrive alone, as Seregios attempts to sink its razor-sharp claws into prey…

Both arrive alongside layered weapons, a series of updates and additions, and more on June 30! Also arriving are the Concordia Festival: Flame Flicker, Savage Devta Duna, and a special collaboration with Fender.

Key Changes and Additions

Monsters

  • – Lagiacrus has been added and is available in an extra campaign. To unlock the extra campaign, players must be HR 31+ and have completed the main campaign “An Upside-Down World” and the sub-campaign “Forest Doshaguma”.

  • – Savage Lagiacrus has been added and will appear for HR 41+ players after completing Lagiacrus’ extra campaign.

  • – Seregios has been added and is available in an extra campaign. To unlock the extra campaign, players must be HR 31+ and have completed the main campaign “An Upside-Down World”.

  • – Savage Seregios has been added and will appear for HR 41+ players after completing Seregios’ extra campaign.

  • – Savage Devta Duna has been added. (Will be available in a future Event Quest.)

  • – Savage Monsters will appear in monster herds.

Player

  • – New equipment and skills added.

  • – New pendants and stickers added.

  • – New voice lines, pose sets, and gestures added.

  • – New Seikret accessories added.

  • – Layered weapon functionality for Hunter and Felyne added.

  • – Hunter armor β sets have been added to layered armor settings. For any α version already unlocked, you will automatically receive β versions.

  • – Added new backgrounds, poses, nameplates, and titles for Hunter Profiles.

  • – New Support Hunters added: Mina (Sword & Shield) and Fabius (Lance), who become available for quests after completing the main campaign “Hunter’s Pride”. Fabius will only be available for a limited time during seasonal events.

  • – Added a feature at the Quest Counter allowing selection of which Support Hunters respond to SOS Flares.

Facilities and Bases

  • – Added item boxes outside hunter tents at each Camp and in the Central Hub.

  • – Added an exterior item box as a camp installation option for Instant Tents.

  • – The Lobby Switch Menu can now be accessed from your tent at Camps and Instant Tents.

  • – You can now switch your Soul Companion to Erik, and vice versa. This feature unlocks after completing the Lagiacrus campaign.

  • – Added a function to the Provision Stock allowing exchange for seasonal event items.

  • – A new Concordia Festival event will occur from July 23 to August 6, 2025.

  • – The following features will be temporarily modified during the Concordia Festival: Companion outfits; Seikret accessories; Diva’s song list; Central Hub decorations; Canteen menu; Barrel Bowling and Barrel Bowling Bombs. (Erik and Gemma’s outfits may also change).

  • – Barrel Bowling now features additional reward slots, plus special changes for seasonal events. Barrel Bowling Bombs during seasonal events will differ from Barrel Super Bombs, offering unique challenges.

  • – New limited request types added (“Research Aid: Fishing” and “Research Aid: Wildlife”).

  • – New ranking categories added (fish and wildlife).

  • – Added an auto-select feature for Armor Spheres when upgrading armor at the Forge, which also converts points into Armor Spheres.

  • – Added an auto-select feature for reinforcement materials when enhancing Artian weapons at the Forge, which also converts points into materials.

Miscellaneous

  • – Added extra campaign “Trembling Azure Currents”. Available after leaving Scarlet Forest for another location, upon completing main campaign “An Upside-Down World” and sub-campaign “Forest Doshaguma”.

  • – Added extra campaign “Sun Pierced by Sands”. Available after completing main campaign “An Upside-Down World”.

  • – Added extra campaign “New Attire, Old Emotions”. Available after completing main campaign “An Upside-Down World” and sub-campaign “Forge Quality Seal”.

  • – Added a new area to Scarlet Forest. Unlocked at certain point in “Trembling Azure Currents” campaign.

  • – New important dialogue added for Ferdinand at Zephyr Plains Camp. Speak with him and fulfill conditions to acquire a new pendant.

  • – Environment Overview can now be viewed in Central Hub, including notifications about event periods like Concordia Festival.

  • Steam®

    – Warning messages now display when launching with outdated GPU drivers, incompatible OS, or compatibility mode enabled.

  • – Added new customizable keyboard configuration controls.

  • – DLSS4 and FSR4 now supported for graphics upscaling. DLSS4 requires NVIDIA RTX 5000-series GPU or higher, FSR4 requires AMD Radeon 9000-series GPU or higher.

  • – NVIDIA DLSS now supports Multi Frame Generation in frame generation graphics settings. Using NVIDIA RTX 5000-series or higher GPUs allows frame amplification settings from 2–4, or selecting “NVIDIA DLSS Auto” for dynamic activation based on current performance.

  • – Upscaling and frame generation options in graphics settings are now separate. Frame generation can be chosen independently. For example, NVIDIA RTX 3000 users can pair NVIDIA DLSS upscaling with AMD FSR frame generation or other combinations.

  • – Can copy Lobby ID and Hunter ID via Start Menu.

  • – Can copy Squad ID via Squad Menu.

  • – Added new graphics setting to disable screen distortion effects in underwater/lava areas.

  • – Added functionality to restock item pouch and ammo pouch.

  • – Ammo pouch now auto-restocks when enabling item settings.

  • – Fixed issue where certain actions during Barrel Bowling could cause unresponsive controls.

  • – Identical pin positions in Barrel Bowling now occur less frequently on consecutive days.

  • – Fixed issue where tree stumps occasionally appeared floating in Central Hub’s sky.

  • – Material Gatherer item requests can now be placed during Turf Wars in Kunafa and Azuz, with collection continuing during Turf Wars.

Monsters

  • – Adjusted frequency of monsters discovering Instant Tents.

  • – Fixed issue where sneak attacks in arenas occasionally failed to deal proper damage.

  • – Savage Afflictions in future Free Challenge quests will spawn in fixed locations.

  • – Fixed issue where target monster size changed when accepting an investigation with only one attempt remaining.

Player

  • General
    • – Character control resumes quicker after starting quest.

    • – Crouching movement now benefits from faster Bleed status recovery.

    • – Fixed issue where Embedded Blade skill effect wouldn’t disappear when entering/exiting Training Area.

    • – Seikret movement no longer interrupted when playing while mounted.

    • – Significantly increased Echo Bubble damage hitbox.

    • – Improved positioning adjustment against monsters during Reckless Charge and Total Release: Sword Strike in Aim Mode.

    • – Elemental Surge Finisher retreat movement can now be slightly reduced by tilting left stick toward character.

    • – Significantly increased element scaling for subsequent explosions from phial sword attacks.

    • – Significantly increased element scaling for subsequent explosions from Reckless Charge, Total Release: Sword Strike, and Axe: Double Strike when using phials.
