SEGA has announced it will release an animated short for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds in September (no specific date was mentioned).
A teaser trailer, revealed at Anime Expo 2025, can be seen right below. The teaser is short and shows Sonic and Shadow racing head-to-head before both enter a Warp Ring.
Animated shorts for new Sonic games have become a tradition in recent years. We’ve seen them for Sonic Mania, Team Sonic Racing, Sonic Colors, Sonic Frontiers, Sonic Superstars, and Sonic x Shadow Generations. This doesn’t even include animations created independent of games, such as Chao in Space and Chao Tales.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will be released on September 25 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC.
