During Anime Expo 2025, Guilty Gear Strive producer Ken Miyauchi expressed his enthusiasm about revisiting one of Arc System Works’ other iconic franchises: BlazBlue.
“I played BlazBlue before joining Arc System Works,” Miyauchi-san shared. “So there’s definitely a part of me that wants to work on it.”
“Mori-san [Toshimichi Mori, series creator] started from the story’s ending and wrote backwards,” explained Miyauchi-san. “So BlazBlue‘s story has technically concluded in a satisfying way for now.”
Tori-san left the company in 2022 and founded Studio Flare. While Arc System Works is currently focused on expanding the Guilty Gear universe, Miyauchi-san’s comments suggest the BlazBlue legacy isn’t being ignored.
