11 bit studios is proud to celebrate a major milestone for its latest original intellectual property.
When the first ideas for The Alters began circulating around the studio in early 2020, they showed promise. Over the years, encouragement came steadily – from journalists, creators, and later from players who tried the demo and recognized its potential.
And yet, as with any ambitious new venture, a quiet question remained: would the gameplay work? Would the themes resonate? Would players find something of themselves in Jan Dolski, our flawed yet determined protagonist?
With a warm reception from critics and players, we’re happy to share that over 280,000 of you have joined this deeply personal space mission on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. Additionally, 1 million Steam users have wishlisted the game. Thank you for making The Alters part of your story.
And of course, thank you to the many versions of Jan. This journey wouldn’t be possible without his courage and determination to survive.
