Bandai Namco today revealed a new trailer for Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree.

This time, we meet Koro, a former elder of Shinju Village renowned for his wisdom and serenity, and Akazu, a brilliant yet reclusive young researcher who joins the journey seeking knowledge about the mysterious Magatsu.

- Koro is a former elder of Shinju Village, known for his ability to make sound decisions. He raised Akazu from childhood, viewing him as a son. With great fondness for tea and snacks, Koro felt compelled to join Towa’s journey to protect Shinju Village.
- Akazu is a studious individual passionate about reading dense books and conducting secret experiments. Naturally, this lifestyle limits his time outdoors, making Akazu fearful of insects and lacking physical stamina. The solitary researcher joins Towa to learn more about Magatsu’s nature.

Players choose two Guardians for each mission: one wields the sacred sword Tsurugi while the other bears the magical staff Kagura. Each Guardian possesses unique abilities that can be unlocked and refined both within dungeons and through permanent progression in Shinju Village.
Beyond Guardian abilities, players can find diverse crafting materials to forge and enhance swords, making each combat style and Guardian pairing unique. As Guardians progress through missions across different timelines, the village evolves through the years. Players can develop strong bonds with villagers while learning about their customs and stories, which are woven into the settlement’s inner workings.
Our heroes must fight together for this vibrant world, conquer dungeons, and defeat Magatsu’s minions to restore peace to the land.
