THQ Nordic announced Darksiders 4 for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC this Friday (1st).
At the time, we had some details, such as the game taking place after the story of the original Darksiders. Check out the title description we previously highlighted:

4-Player Co-op in Darksiders 4
However, one detail we didn’t report earlier is that the title will offer online co-op for up to 4 players.
This detail appears on both the Xbox store page and the PlayStation Store page for the game. The PS Store page mentions online co-op for 4 players or a single-player campaign. The Steam page also indicates co-op, though it doesn’t specify player count.
The Xbox page cites online co-op for 2-4 players. It also mentions support for “shared/split-screen,” but this doesn’t indicate local co-op. As seen on the Borderlands 3 store page—a game offering that feature—it’s explicitly described as “Xbox Local Co-op (2-2)” and “Xbox Local Multiplayer (2-2)”.
Therefore, Darksiders 4‘s co-op will likely be exclusively online for 2-4 players—each controlling one Horseman. Based on the earlier description, gameplay is expected to resemble the original trilogy.
