Several users have reported issues accessing the PS3’s PlayStation Store for over 24 hours.
In our tests, it’s possible to access the store, but after browsing briefly, a connection error occurs (a message stating the PlayStation Store is under maintenance appears), kicking the user back to the PS3’s XMB.
It’s important to note that the download list remains accessible through account management options. Meaning, previously purchased games can still be downloaded without issues. The problem lies in being unable to enter the PlayStation Store itself to make new purchases.
It bears adding that the PS Vita PlayStation Store remains functional, and as has happened previously, the PS3 version should return shortly. However, these recurring outages raise questions about how long Sony will continue supporting the store for this console.
