Console Service Update: Migrating to Current Generation and Ending Legacy Support
Hello players,
Today, we would like to share an important update about the PUBG Console service.
As mentioned in our 2025 roadmap, we are preparing to transition PUBG Console to current-generation consoles.
Starting November 13, PUBG Console will only support PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
This change is a necessary step to align PUBG Console with current-gen consoles. To provide our players a more stable gaming environment on consoles and ensure smoother experiences with future updates, we decided to migrate to current-gen hardware. Post-transition, console players will see enhanced visuals and more stable frame rates. Additionally, we aim to reduce recurring crash issues through memory-related optimizations.
As part of this transition, we will end support for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
It weighs heavily on us to deliver this news to our console players who’ve enjoyed PUBG on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for many years.
We vividly remember the epic battles, heart-stopping moments, and camaraderie that brought us together. We are deeply grateful for every moment you’ve spent with us over the past eight years.
This decision wasn’t made lightly. It followed extensive deliberation, focused on PUBG Console’s sustained growth and long-term future. We ask for your understanding and invite PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users to review the details below.

Current-gen console specifications were determined through extensive technical review and internal testing to ensure the most stable optimized PUBG Console experience. Memory and graphic specs were carefully configured with future content updates in mind to ensure seamless compatibility.
Since PUBG Console features cross-play, platform fairness was prioritized. We aim to deliver a stable 60 fps experience across all platforms. To account for hardware performance differences, Xbox Series S offers selectable options like Resolution Mode and Performance Mode.
This transition to current-gen consoles not only provides a more stable environment but prepares for larger updates. It marks a major step forward for PUBG Console’s long-term growth, enabling faster responses to evolving console ecosystem needs.
We sincerely appreciate your continued interest and support for PUBG Console and remain committed to delivering the best possible gaming experience.
See you on the battlegrounds.
