Hello everyone!
First, we’d like to start by saying another big and sincere THANK YOU! The reception for Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon has been absolutely incredible, and seeing so many people passionate about the game is extremely rewarding.
We’re receiving A LOT of feedback from you every day—some very positive, some negative—and regardless, we always read and listen. One thing you can be sure of: we will definitely keep working on the game until all bugs are fixed. We’re also planning to add plenty of extra content 😉
Anyway, seeing so many people passionate about Tainted Grail is extremely rewarding for us and motivates us to keep going.
Roadmap: What’s Coming!
Here are the most important things we’ll be working on in the coming weeks and months:
-
-
- Regular patches to fix major bugs and performance issues. We aim to release weekly patches, but they may come sooner or later. We’ll continue this work for the next few months.
- We’re working to enable Mod Support—expected in 3 to 4 weeks.
- A special performance version for Steam Deck is in development (exact date TBD).
- A big batch of extra content is arriving in Patch 1.1, which will include many of the community’s most popular requests, especially in the Forlorn Swords region (Act 3). We aim to launch it in August! No spoilers, but expect some really cool additions. 😉
- We’re also exploring other popular requests like New Game+.

Now, let’s talk about Patch v1.03. As you’ll see below, there’s A LOT here!
Before diving into details, we’d like to give a quick explanation for some of the bugs.
(Note: This isn’t meant as an excuse—we take full responsibility for the issues.)
When we set out to create Tainted Grail, we wanted to build a deep and complex adventure, both narratively and exploration-wise. But we also wanted to give you, the player, as much freedom as possible.
That’s why you can kill many NPCs, experience completely different quest outcomes, and approach things in any order. We wanted to minimize instances where you would need mutually exclusive help, as we would expect as players ourselves.
Of course, the “cost” of this freedom is that there are SO. MANY. DIFFERENT. OPTIONS.
And sometimes, the most random combinations can cause issues. Here’s an example bug we encountered before release:
Using the relic system, you can enhance weapons—that’s fine.
If you sell that item to a vendor, still fine.
But THEN, hours later when the vendor’s inventory resets—boom, the game freaks out and crashes.
Anyway, this is just a brief preamble to help explain where some weird bugs come from. That said, we’re extremely motivated to find and fix every single one, so your Tainted Grail experience keeps improving.
