The Latin American Games Showcase (LAGS), held during this year’s Summer Game Fest, presented 57 games to the public via broadcast on YouTube and Twitch. The gaming conference dedicated to the Latin American region featured exclusive trailers, demo announcements, release dates, and world premieres from developers and studios in countries like Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, and more.
LAGS showcased a wide variety of games for all tastes, including the Brazilian A.I.L.A, a first-person horror game set in a future filled with immersive technology, realistic visuals, and disturbing immersive experiences. Also from Brazil, with a completely distinct style, Gaucho and the Grassland simulates life on the Rio Grande do Sul pampas, focusing on farm building and animal care. Developed in Ecuador, Despelote is an adventure about childhood memories and the magic of football. The Argentine title Teios Journey, making its world premiere at LAGS, is a challenging 2D action-platformer that tests players’ skills.
