SNK revealed today (23rd) the trailer for Joe Higashi in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. Joe is the next technically free DLC character.
Muay thai champion Joe Higashi debuted alongside his colleagues Terry and Andy Bogard in the series’ first game, Fatal Fury (1991), becoming one of the franchise’s most recognizable faces for an entire generation. The Hurricane Master arrives in South Town once again in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.

A legendary muay thai fighter whose kicks can bend steel. No other kickboxer can lay a finger, elbow, or knee on Joe Higashi, so he decides to take on a new challenge: the big screen! His documentary-style biopic, The Legend of Joe (directed by none other than Cheng Sinzan), is already being filmed in South Town; Joe even envisions a small role for his prodigy student Preecha, whose recent tournament triumphs have made her master proud.
New stories in Arcade Mode and EdST (South Town Episodes)!
In Arcade Mode, Joe and Cheng Sinzan are working on filming The Legend of Joe, a movie based on the brilliant life of the muay thai master. Meanwhile, EdST mode will show Joe walking through the city reminiscing about how he met his prodigy disciple, Preecha.
The Hurricane Master will make a special appearance with an exclusive playable demo available at Tokyo Game Show 2025, from September 25th to 28th.
Joe Higashi is the third DLC character from Season Pass 1, included in the Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Special Edition. He joins Andy Bogard and Ken Masters (already in-game), with Chun-Li and Mr. Big completing the season’s five fighters. Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is only sold as a Special Edition with no standalone base game or separate Season Pass 1 plans, technically making all DLCs free.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves launched on April 24, 2025 for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store).
