When Moomintroll awakens unexpectedly early from hibernation, he finds himself entirely alone for the first time in a barely recognizable world. The familiar landscape of Moominvalley is now draped in the icy veil of the Groke. Initially seeking someone to care for him while yearning to banish winter, young Moomintroll reluctantly embarks on a journey into the unknown, learning to forge new friendships and aid those in greater need than himself.
