As a GATE employee, you push the boundaries of human knowledge and attempt to explain the inexplicable – including paranormal anomalies and entities: from gravity-warping artifacts to supernatural creatures driven by brutal violence. Security, protection, and secrecy take top priority… usually.
After a catastrophic containment breach, your workplace has become a cosmic battlefield: anomalous entities roam free, extradimensional enemies invade through portals, and an arcane military cult known as The Order attacks indiscriminately while seizing artifacts to end the chaos.
Containment protocols have failed, and no help is coming. Trapped miles below the surface, you must band together with fellow scientists, devise an escape plan, and make this subterranean complex your new home – for now.

Abiotic Factor adds 90s sci-fi flair and deep character progression to the co-op survival-crafting genre. Up to 6 players select doctorate specializations, build their scientist, gear up, and explore a massive underground facility overflowing with supernatural artifacts, extradimensional enemies, and failed experiments.
SCIENCE MEETS VIOLENCE
Between alien predators hunting for food, jumpy soldiers, and the world’s most advanced security bots targeting after-hours personnel, danger lurks everywhere. Combat isn’t your specialty as a scientist – so leverage your PhD to outsmart adversaries: craft ingenious makeshift tools, weapons, and gear, from simple nets and wooden bats to laser cannons and sophisticated traps. Anything your scientific mind can engineer!
