A first-person horror game immersing players in the prelude to the BrokenLore story. The plot unfolds in a Japanese village where players uncover deep-seated hatred and ancestral secrets.
BrokenLore: LOW takes players on a journey filled with tension, mystery, and the supernatural, where every corner of the fog conceals forgotten truths and unfathomable terrors.
The game is set in a remote Japanese village, Kirisame Mura (Village of Mist). This first-person horror title delves into the dark prelude of the story told in UNFOLLOW.
GAME OBJECTIVES
➤ Uncover the Roots of Deep-Seated Hatred
➤ Explore Kirisame Mura’s circular, claustrophobic layout
➤ Introduction to the Game’s Repetition Structure, symbolizing the unstoppable cycle of tragic events
STORY
Naomi Montgomery arrives in Kirisame Mura for a career-boosting music industry opportunity, only to confront sinister presences and the village’s cursed secrets. Her journey through time and memory lays the foundation for events chronicled in BrokenLore: UNFOLLOW.
The village’s mysterious aura intensifies as a dark haunting legend gradually surfaces. Tales speak of a vanished ancient temple at the settlement’s heart – the site of a tragedy that cursed all inhabitants.
GAMEPLAY MECHANICS
➤ Sinister manifestations suggest ancient forces still watch over the village
➤ Survival requires evading enemies through stealth rather than direct confrontation
➤ Diary and letter discoveries provide historical and emotional context
VILLAGE THEMES
Kirisame Mura was crafted as a self-contained enigma – an inescapable labyrinth symbolizing the protagonist’s cycle of flawed decisions and ruined destinies. The game structure reinforces this through subtly repeating and shifting environments, challenging players to shatter the cycle while unraveling the narrative. Themes of envy, ambition, and failure will be explored.
