Marvelous USA today unveiled a new behind-the-scenes video showcasing the making of Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion. Watch it below.
The developer documentary features Kenichiro Tsukuda, producer of the Daemon X Machina series, discussing topics ranging from his early experiences with mechs and robots at the start of his game development career to his inspiration for creating the original Daemon X Machina game, aiming to bring the sci-fi mech genre to Nintendo Switch.
Tsukuda-san shares additional insights into the development team’s approach for Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion, including the evolution of the game’s technology and how it expresses itself in gameplay, the exploration of human-technology interaction throughout the story and worldbuilding, and their exhaustive efforts to inject fun into every moment of gameplay. The conversation also explores how the team utilizes cutting-edge tools and technologies—such as 3D printing to gain new perspectives on armor design beyond 2D screens—to ensure each equipment piece feels unique and crucially, “cool.”
Created and produced by Kenichiro Tsukuda with mechanical designs by Shoji Kawamori, Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion takes the franchise in a new dramatic direction. Join the Reclaimers in their struggle against Axiom.
