Square Enix announced Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles during today’s (4th) State of Play.
Now, a collector’s edition has been revealed (exclusive to the Square Enix Store).
Moreover, among the new features in this new version are voice actors. Square Enix states the following:
The voice cast of FINAL FANTASY TACTICS – The Ivalice Chronicles features stars, including new and returning members of the FINAL FANTASY voice cast, including Joe Pitts (Ramza), Gregg Lowe (Delita), Hannah Melbourn (Agrias), Timothy Watson (Cidolfus), Harry McEntire (Mustadio), Ben Starr (Dycedarg) and special appearances by Cody Christian (Cloud Strife from the FINAL FANTASY VII remake series) and Briana White (Aerith Gainsborough from the FINAL FANTASY VII remake series).

– Story
Ivalice, a realm blessed by the gods’ light and ruled by the Two-headed Lion. One year after its defeat to Ordallia in the war known as the Fifty Years’ War, the King succumbed to illness, leaving a mere two-year-old boy to assume the throne.
He who would be named Regent would be the true ruler, and thus emerged two rival candidates: Dukes Goltanna and Larg, whose deeds during the war granted them great renown. Goltanna, the Black Lion, and Larg, the White Lion, were destined to clash, sparking a conflict that would come to be known as the War of the Lions.
It is in this context that Ramza appears, the third son of House Beoulve, one of the leading military families, and his childhood friend Delita, a commoner raised among nobles. As they set out to find their path in this tumultuous era, a powerful current pulls them ever deeper toward an abyss.

Lead your team in thrilling confrontations where strategic positioning and advanced planning determine the outcome. Use the diverse terrain of 3D battlefields to your advantage and skillfully manipulate turn order. With this, victory will be in your hands.
– Character Growth and Customization
Combine a vast array of Jobs and abilities to create your own strategies.
As party members grow, they will gain access to more Jobs, each focused on their unique abilities. Once learned, abilities can be used even after changing Jobs. With over 20 Jobs – including White Mage, Black Mage, Dragoon, and many others from the FINAL FANTASY series – and hundreds of abilities to master, you have the freedom to experiment and discover the combinations that work best for your team. Chocobos and other creatures can also be tamed and participate in battles.
– Two Versions: Enhanced and Classic
With enhanced visuals, fully voice-acted dialogue, and refined gameplay, the enhanced version offers the ideal way to dive into the world of Ivalice. Alongside dedicated tweaks to numerous features and battle mechanics, the inclusion of the more accessible “Squire” difficulty mode makes this version an excellent starting point for newcomers.
The classic version combines the graphics and gameplay of the 1997 original release with the acclaimed War of the Lions translation to deliver a timeless experience of this beloved game.
