Publisher THQ Nordic and developer Alkimia Interactive have announced that Gothic 1 Remake will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and GOG in early 2026.

Welcome to the Colony
The Kingdom of Myrtana has been invaded by ruthless orc hordes. In his desperate quest for powerful weapons to repel them, King Rhobar II ordered vast quantities of magical ore to be mined, sending all capable prisoners to work in the mines of Khorinis. To prevent escape, the King commanded his most skilled mages to create a magical barrier. But when the spell went horribly wrong, everyone became trapped inside. The prisoners revolted, turning the mine into a lawless land ruled by the Colony’s most brutal inhabitants.
