Studio Chyr is finally unveiling Hotel Infinity, our follow-up to Manifold Garden, coming to PS VR2 later this year. Hotel Infinity shares much of Manifold Garden’s DNA—like exploring impossible spaces—but unfolds in a new mysterious universe leveraging the unique experiences only virtual reality can deliver.

Explore for Hours Without Leaving Your Living Room

From inception, Hotel Infinity was designed as a groundbreaking roomscale experience. Clever use of portals, elevators, and impossibly winding corridors will make players feel as though they’ve wandered a hotel for hours—without ever leaving their 2m x 2m roomscale boundaries.

These mechanics (and others) were crafted to ensure the entire game is traversable without joysticks or teleportation systems. As we approach launch, we’ll share more about other technical innovations we’ve developed.

Impossible Spaces Great and Small

Hotel Infinity’s corridors overflow with architectural contradictions and enigmatic puzzles. Whether navigating guest-facing areas like luxury suites and atriums, staff-exclusive kitchens and service tunnels, or shadowed secrets beneath every nook, the locale brims with plausibly impossible interactions.

While exploration drives the core experience, we couldn’t follow up Manifold Garden without crafting utterly mind-bending puzzles. All game interaction mechanics leverage the uniquely expressive nature of PS VR2 Sense controllers. In Hotel Infinity, even something mundane like a briefcase may contain nested layers of surprises—demanding you push, pull, rotate, and slide objects through impossible spaces to uncover secrets.

Striking Visuals and Familiar Tones

Though Hotel Infinity doesn’t adopt Manifold Garden’s minimalist art style, we’re proud to share its distinctive aesthetic with PlayStation fans. PS VR2 enables us to deliver beautiful, immersive experiences with fantastic performance. Headset haptics and PS VR2 Sense controllers’ tactile feedback give you even more reasons to dive headfirst into Hotel Infinity’s halls.

Additionally, Manifold Garden fans will delight in Laryssa Okada’s return to compose an entirely original soundtrack for Hotel Infinity. You can sample her exceptional work in the trailer above.

Roomscale-First, But Built for All

We built Hotel Infinity to reinvent roomscale gameplay—pushing VR immersion as far as possible. While this is the primary way to play, we know many can’t experience roomscale mode for various reasons. Thus, we’re developing robust alternative locomotion controls to ensure full playability in Seated and Standing modes too.

We can’t wait for you to explore every impossible corner when Hotel Infinity launches on PS VR2 later this year!
