Assemble Your Squad and Save the Day in LEGO Fortnite Expeditions!
Prepare, heroic hopefuls! The world is under attack, and only you can save it. Board the Battle Bus in Odyssey or Brick Life starting June 18 to embark on adventures in LEGO Fortnite Expeditions. The mode will also be selectable under Discover!
You’ll enroll at the newly inaugurated Supernova Institute to unlock your superpowers’ full potential. Master extraordinary abilities and unlock new skills to eradicate evil. ❌
Choose your specialization and team up with classmates in four-player co-op Missions. By completing these missions, you’ll earn Heroic EXP in Expeditions and fulfill your heroic destiny!
What is LEGO Fortnite Expeditions?
LEGO Fortnite Expeditions is a new PvE experience where you and up to three others tackle challenging Missions. All in a quest to stop the villainous Daigo Mask Maker from destroying the world!
The Supernova Institute will be your headquarters, also hosting other hero-hopefuls playing simultaneously. Explore and interact with faculty like founder Vengeance Jones and mentor-heroine Valentia to unravel strange events unfolding.
Missions
Daigo’s Spires and forces have begun appearing worldwide, spreading chaos! Rally your squad and training comrades to thwart his schemes…
In co-op Missions, you’ll eliminate waves of hostile forces. Detour to explore maps and rescue citizens! Find chests packed with resources, currency, or gear to aid your heroic journey.
Access Missions via the Mission Terminal at the Institute. Here, start fresh missions, find specific challenges, or select Quick Play to join the next available squad.
Expeditions Missions occur across these locations:
Utopiana
This city magnetizes troublemakers—expect to rescue residents while building Communicators and Field Generators against future attacks!
Spire Excavation Site
This excavation zone holds Daigo’s Spires. Uncover truths and disrupt his plans by investigating here.
Broken Bridge
No superhero tale is complete without a collapsed bridge. We could fix it, but everyone knows it’d get wrecked AGAIN.

Watch for new Mission sites post-launch, including the Demonic Domain (Daigo’s HQ!) and the Institute itself.
Community Projects
All Supernova scholars are on the same team. Completing Missions advances global Community Projects. Succeeding unlocks upgrades for everyone and unlocks new Missions.
Institute Assignments
Not mission-bound? Faculty like Vengeance Jones, Night Rose, and Morgana issue Institute Assignments. After all, you’re still in school!
Hero Classes
Choosing your path is challenging. Each Hero Class offers distinct playstyles to become the hero the world needs!
Complete Missions to level Hero Classes. Experiment freely to discover new styles! Swap anytime via a Class Terminal in the Institute.
Master of Shadows
Harness chaotic energy as the Master of Shadows! Surveil battlefields from above, then dive using Commanded Shade—an explosive projectile that damages foes and heals allies.
To escape danger, activate Shadow Form to become invulnerable crow flocks—a perfect getaway!
The Master of Shadows’ enhancement tree lets you pivot between DPS or vital support roles.
Brawler
Target locked. Be a Brawler for massive single-target damage. Use their Throwpuncher to flank distracted enemies, then unleash the Bullseye Blade.
The Bullseye Blade marks targets, multiplying group damage and accuracy.
Good combat needs traps: the Counter Trap disrupts enemy attacks while dealing damage. (Multitasking enhances your resume!)
Riftbreaker
Riftbreakers wield rift power! Launch Rift Shards versus individuals or summon Rift Crystals for area damage.
Near Rift Crystals, you gain damage and armor buffs—with minor benefits for other classes!
Flex mobility. Use Rift Leap to scale heights and Rift Dodge to escape danger. (Rift-weary yet?)
Tip: Earn Heroic EXP by completing Missions and defeating enemies to level Hero Classes and acquire Skill Points for Hero Enhancements.
Enhancements are class-specific, with unique boosts per class.
Tools at Your Disposal
Even top heroes need backup. Use LEGO Fortnite Expeditions tools! Exchange Essence (earned in Missions) with Merchants for randomized tools.
Dual Daggers, War Hammer, and Plasma Pistols.
Tools split into “weapons” and “gear.” Merchant-obtainable weapons:
Dual Daggers
Embrace your inner ninja with Dual Daggers for eliminating Daigo’s strongest warriors. Daring Slash charges 4 seconds for a powerful combo, or use Spiral Slashes to hit multiple enemies.
War Hammer
LEGO Fortnite’s first two-handed weapon doubles as a tanking favorite. The slow-but-devastating War Hammer handles enemy groups easily.
Deadly Slam + Tremor Slam charges 4 seconds to crush ten foes while dodging attacks.
Plasma Pistols
When melee fails, deploy Plasma Pistols! Hip-fire or aim. Just avoid overheating.
Gyro Spin lets you advance while spinning and firing—ideal when surrounded!
In danger? Backstep ⬅ mid-air to safety.
Tip: Don’t forget gear! Found in Missions and at Merchants. Equip three attribute-boosting gear items simultaneously.
Expeditions Enemies
Daigo’s destructive forces infest the world. Study your foes first! Textbook P.46:
- Spires — Sentient! These crystal-like entities spread across Fortnite.
- Light Demon Guard — Ruthless foes attacking with bone-cracking Punch Strike or bows, dynamite, and swords.
- Heavy Demon Guard — Heavy hitters inflicting massive damage via Dual Daggers, War Hammers, or Plasma Pistols.
- Kor — Daigo’s lieutenant warps across battlefields blindingly fast. Mixing melee/ranged attacks and summoning minions, she’s lethally underestimated.
- Titan — True powerhouses. Engage carefully with a full squad!
A Demon Guard, Kor, and a Titan.
Every hero needs an archnemesis—enter Daigo Mask Maker! Daigo awaits your challenge, testing your skills exponentially… Victory requires everything learned at the Institute!
Expeditions and LEGO Fortnite
Fresh off Odyssey battles and craving more? Planning tactics in Brick Bay? No need to exit Odyssey/Brick Life—jump into Expeditions directly via Battle Bus Stations.
Speaking of Odyssey: You’ve noticed Spires appearing this month… Thankfully, Daigo hasn’t activated them—yet. Prepare to act when Spires activate in July, spawning Expeditions enemies! Pre-craft weapons starting June 18 when Expeditions weapon crafting unlocks in Odyssey.
(And that’s not all: Hero Classes come to Odyssey later!)
Expeditions focuses purely on action—Construction/Decoration items won’t work here. But you CAN use LEGO Styles from the LEGO Pass or Battle Pass! The current Battle Pass has multiple super-skins, including July’s unlockable Superman Outfit (or grab the Battle Bundle early).
