Key Changes and Additions

Monsters

  • – Starting at HR 100, tempered versions of the following nine monsters will begin appearing in the field as 9★ quests: Rey Dau, Uth Duna, Nu Udra, Jin Dahaad, Gore Magala, Arkveld, Mizutsune, Lagiacrus, Seregios.

  • – Tempered and standard versions of Rey Dau and Nu Udra will now appear in the Scarred Chasm starting at HR 100.

  • – Adjusted monster spawn rates from HR 100 onward.

  • – Default monster spawn rate has been slightly increased.

Player

  • – A new appraisal item, Shimmerstone, has been added.
    Note: Obtainable as a reward from 9★ monster quests. The item is appraised upon quest completion, generating a talisman with randomized skill attributes.

  • – Increased the enhancement cap for armor of rarity 5 or higher.

System

  • – Added a function to hide/display specific ammo and coatings on the Ammo/Coatings Bar. Configurable via the Ammo Pouch and Coatings Pouch.

  • – Added the new Knockback Assist option.

  • – Weapons, armor, and talismans can now be marked as Favorites. Favoriting an item provides these benefits:
    – A star icon will display for easier identification.
    – You can sort and rearrange by Favorites.
    – A confirmation prompt will appear if attempting to sell a favorite item or use it as melding material.

  • – Added Favorite sorting to the Equipment Box, Deco Box, and Artian Materials Box.

  • – Improved directional input responsiveness on the World Map, making cursor movement more intuitive.

Facilities and Bases

  • – Added a new function related to Talisman Melding at the Melding Pot.

  • – Increased the duration of meal effects from the Portable Spit, Meal Invitations, and Canteen.

Monsters

  • – Fixed an issue where Focus Attacks could fail if a wound was near an exposed weak spot.

  • – Fixed an issue where inflicting wounds with attacks while mounted on a Blangonga or Ajarakan was difficult.

Player

  • General
    • – Fixed an issue where using an item via shortcut during damage recovery or weapon-drawn evasion prevented item usage. Items will now automatically activate after these actions.

    • – Adjusted mount damage scaling to reduce damage reduction applied to attacks from unmounted players.

    • – Fixed an issue where Waterblight status wasn’t removed when retrying an Arena Quest.

  • Water Hunting
    • – Vertical ascent/descent can now be chained into an evasion.

    • – Items can now be used during ascent/descent movement.

    • – Fixed an issue preventing item usage while in Focus Mode underwater.

  • Great Sword
    • – Made it easier to chain a Tackle into combos like Strong Horizontal Slash into True Charged Slash, Tackle into True Charged Slash, and Lateral Bash into Strong Charged Slash.

    • – Jumping Horizontal Slash now chains faster into Lateral Bash.

    • – Strong Horizontal Slash now chains faster into True Charged Slash.

    • – Slightly increased raw damage for Charged Slash, Aerial Charged Slash, Strong Charged Slash, True Charged Slash, and Strong Horizontal Slash.

    • – Increased elemental scaling for Strong Charged Slash, True Charged Slash, and Strong Horizontal Slash.

  • Long Sword
    • – Reduced input delay when chaining Special Sheathe into Iai Spirit Slash. Additionally, the execution window for Iai Spirit Slash has been slightly increased.

  • Sword and Shield
    • – Increased raw damage for Counter Slash.

  • Dual Blades
    • – Adjusted Focus Attack: Tide Turn to chain into Tide Spiral, a new finisher that performs a multi-hit attack on a targeted wound, by pressing △ (PS5) / Y (Xbox) / Default Right-Click (PC).

    • – Extended duration of the effect triggered by a Perfect Dodge during Enhanced Demon Mode.

    • – Increased movement speed in Demon Mode.

    • – Slightly increased the window for successful Perfect Dodges.

    • – Improved directional change responsiveness when using Spiral Slice in Focus Mode.

  • Hunting Horn
    • – Added hyper armor properties to Hilt Stab, preventing knockback from monster attacks.

    • – Hilt Stab can now be chained from Focus Attack: Resonance, Echo Bubble, Special Performance, Bis, or evade.

    • – Echo Bubble can now be chained from Ignores Negate, Resounding Melody, or Bis.

    • – Fixed an issue causing the finisher attack Focus Attack: Resonance to be difficult to land.

  • Lance
    • – Further reduced damage taken during Intrepid Heart.

    • – Increased raw and elemental scaling for Anchor Rage after a Perfect Guard.

    • – Increased raw and elemental scaling for Sweep, Reverse Thrust, Twin Thrust Finisher, and Countercharge.

    • – Charged Counterthrust can now be chained after Perfect Guard or Guard Advances with minimal pushback.

    • – Increased elemental scaling for Backhop Thrust, Mid Thrust I, II, III, and Triple Thrust.

    • – Increased raw damage for Cross Swipe, Grand Anchor Rage, and High Thrust I, II, and III.

    • – Increased hitbox for Anchor Rage.

    • – Extended travel distance when directional input is combined with Jumping Thrust, Backhop Thrust, and Cross Swipe.

    • – Sped up transitions from Sweep to Mid Thrust, High Thrust, and Lunge Attack.

    • – Reduced weapon sharpness consumption when performing Focus Attack: Victorious Thrust.

    • – Backhop Thrust, Cross Swipe, and Anchor Rage can now be chained after winning a Clutch Clash.

    • – Fixed an issue where attacks hitting the opposite direction of player orientation during Intrepid Heart would not correctly transition to Hearty Guard.

    • – Fixed an issue where guard couldn’t properly block attacks while moving.

  • Charge Blade
    • – Fixed an issue where, under certain conditions, performing a Burst Fire while Charge Shot Lv. 2 was active resulted in fewer attacks than intended.

  • Switch Axe
    • – Refined Flinch Free detection for Switch Axe: Mounted Ascending Slash, making it easier to execute.

    • – Increased Flinch Free accumulation from Switch Axe: Mounted Ascending Slash.

  • Power Axe
    • – Increased raw damage for Axe: Essence Discharge I and II.

    • – Increased raw damage for multi-hit attacks in Potent Axe Mode.

    • – Adjusted Axe: Essence Discharge I and II so that when using a boosted phial during Potent Axe Mode, explosion damage correctly reflects the boosted phial effect.

  • Insect Glaive
    • – Refined Flinch Free detection, making it easier to execute attacks.

    • – Increased invincibility duration during Backward Leap.

    • – Increased distance granted by the Evade Extender skill during a Backward Leap.

    • – Increased raw damage for Strong Harvest Slash and Evade Slash.

    • – Increased raw and elemental scaling for Strong Double Slash and Tornado Slash.

    • – Fixed an issue causing aerial combos to deal less stun than intended.

    • – Improved hit detection for Focus Attack: Piercing Leap when leaping away from targets mid-air. This attack now collects extracts upon hitting, as it does when executed on land.

    • – Fixed an issue where certain Rathalos parts did not provide intended extract colors.

    • – Fixed an issue where mounting buildup from Advancing Leap Slash executed as dismount attacks varied based on hit timing.

    • – Fixed an issue where Jumping Slash or Advancing Lateral Slash would execute instead of Kinsect: Extract Harvest or Kinsect: Recall when inputting commands rapidly after standing up.

    • – Fixed an issue preventing Descending Thrust from executing after standing up.

    • – Fixed an issue where if the player took damage with the Kinsect airborne while performing a Strong Aerial Slash in Focus Mode, the Kinsect would repeatedly attack the monster.

  • Light Bowgun
    • – Increased raw damage for Sticky Ammo and Wyvernblast.

    • – Increased Rapid Shot Gauge recovery speed when using Exhaust Ammo, Poison Ammo, Paralysis Ammo, or Sleep Ammo.

    • – Increased reload speed for Sticky Ammo and Focus Blast: Eagle Strike.

    • – Slightly increased raw and elemental scaling for Fire Ammo, Water Ammo, Thunder Ammo, Ice Ammo, and Dragon Ammo.

    • – Decreased Rapid Shot Gauge consumption when using Dragon Ammo in Rapid Fire Mode.

    • – Increased Rapid Shot Gauge recovery when using Pierce Ammo.

    • – Fixed an issue where only one of multiple bullets fired by Light Bowgun’s Spread Ammo benefited from the Ballistics skill scaling.

  • Heavy Bowgun
    • – Increased raw damage for Crouching Shot: Wyvernblast and Crouching Shot: Counterblast.

    • – Increased scaling for Crouching Shot: Wyvernblast and Crouching Shot: Counterblast during SP I and SP II modes.

    • – Increased Crouching Gauge recovery speed when using Exhaust Ammo, Poison Ammo, Paralysis Ammo, or Sleep Ammo.

    • – Adjusted hitbox for Focus Blast: Wyvernsnipe to improve accuracy.

    • – Chaining Guard after firing Spread Ammo is now faster.

    • – Increased Crouching Gauge recovery when using Pierce Ammo.

  • Bow
    • – Fixed an issue where arrows from an Arc Shot would disappear if the attack hit a ceiling area.

  • Skills
    • – Adjusted the effects of the Bubble Dance set bonus as follows:

      Before adjustments:
      – Bubble Dance I: Prevented Major Bubbleblight and increased evasion under Minor Bubbleblight.
      – Bubble Dance II: Added Minor Bubbleblight application after multiple evades.

      After adjustments:
      – Bubble Dance I: Prevents Major Bubbleblight and applies Minor Bubbleblight after multiple evades.
      – Bubble Dance II: Adds increased evasion under Minor Bubbleblight. This evasion boost was also strengthened.

    • – Adjusted the duration of the War Cry set bonus. It now stacks with all other effects, allowing greater gear flexibility.

    • – Adjusted the Dominance set bonus to stack with all other effects.

    • – Increased effects of the Blast Dash set bonus.

    • – Extended duration of the Affinity Slide set bonus.

    • – Adjusted the Flinch Free skill so it no longer blocks attacks from allies while active.

    • – Adjusted the Ballistics skill to increase effective range of Normal, Pierce, and Spread Ammo. Additionally, Normal and Spread Ammo will now be within effective range even at point-blank (0m) starting from Level 2.

  • Support Hunters
    • – Adjusted performance of Alessa and Fabius to reflect Lance changes.

    • – Fixed an issue causing Support Hunters to stop attacking under certain conditions during underwater hunts.

  • Seikret
    • – Increased the speed of executing 180-degree turns while mounted on a Seikret.

    • – Adjusted the window for dismounting after a successful evade, allowing earlier player dismounts.

    • – Adjusted input timing to make opening the map immediately after dismounting easier.

Miscellaneous

  • System
    • – Fixed an issue where performing certain actions in the item bar could cause crashes.

    • – Increased Guild Points granted from Limited Bounty quests.

  • Network
    • – Fixed an issue where if a player disconnected just before gesture animations like Gou Hadoken or Splash Weapon, other players’ games would crash.

    • – Fixed an issue displaying this incorrect message when viewing Challenge Quest or Arena Quest rankings: “This is a repeated quest. You can see the last time it was cleared.”

  • Locales
    • – Fixed an issue where Altar Shards appearing during the Dragonfire Torch Altar quest occasionally failed to activate from direct hits.

    • – Fixed an issue in Photo Mode where disabling firefly effects in the Edit menu only hid the glow effect.

  • Other
    • – Fixed an issue where some dialog did not trigger properly.

    • – Fixed various text issues.

    • – Fixed other miscellaneous problems.
