Koei Tecmo has shared feedback from the Nioh 3 alpha, available from June 5th to 18th, 2025, with over 90% of players reviewing the experience positively.
Team Ninja has revealed planned improvements based on player responses, focusing on gameplay, interface, combat, and multiplayer.
Key changes include:
- Controls: Responsiveness improvements and added customization options.
- Difficulty: Adjustments to overpowered enemies like Crucible Wasps, with reduced HP and tweaked behavior for easier stealth attacks. Added ability to flee from bosses.
- Graphics & Exploration: Enhanced global illumination, reduced fog in dark areas, clearer maps with objective markers, and audio cues for hidden items.
- Multiplayer: Stability fixes, more intuitive tutorials, clearer death notifications, and friend-only lobby support.
- Progression: Larger inventories, streamlined skill tree, and increased Life Corrosion recovery from Elixirs or Guardian Spirits.
- Interface: More responsive menus, less intrusive notifications, Ki visualization for yokai enemies, and equipment menu filters.
