Indie developer NETK2GAMES has announced that their arcade-themed rally game with simulation mechanics Rally Arcade Classics has received the Precision & Chase update.
The update introduces a manual transmission mode, a revamped speedometer, and adds an online friends leaderboard, allowing players to track the records of other known drivers.
Here’s what’s new in the Precision & Chase update:
- Manual transmission is now available, and leaderboards indicate whether players set their best time using manual or automatic mode;
- A speedometer has been added to the UI, replacing the previous bar. Drivers using manual transmission get a larger interface to monitor speed and RPMs, while automatic users get a more glanceable element while racing;
- A friends list has been added, letting players closely follow up to 25 drivers;
- Leaderboards have been overhauled. Besides showing transmission types, you can now filter by global standing, top 10, and friends.
Rally Arcade Classics is available on PS5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC via Steam, delivering nostalgic 90s arcade racing. The game features 44 iconic cars from the 70s, 80s, and 90s with a license-based progression system: players must hone their driving skills to unlock game modes before piloting legendary vehicles, blending simulation physics into a traditional arcade experience. Tour, Arcade, Rally modes, and weekly events cater to diverse playstyles.
