Silent Hill f Confirmed With Multiple Endings and New Game Plus

Silent Hill f, Konami’s new horror game, will maintain the series’ tradition of multiple endings and will include a New Game Plus mode.

During a Tokyo press event (via Push Square), developers confirmed that all players will receive a specific ending during their first playthrough, but choices and actions in subsequent runs will unlock other endings. The New Game Plus mode will offer expanded exploration, different boss battles, and new story developments through previously unseen cinematics.

Additionally, Silent Hill f will feature increased combat focus to attract younger players, as developers Motoi Okamoto and Al Yang revealed (via IGN). Unlike prior series entries that prioritized psychological horror and environmental storytelling, Silent Hill f emphasizes challenging action—particularly melee combat—to avoid Silent Hill 2 comparisons and establish itself as a standalone story.

Set in 1960s Japan, the game follows teenager Hinako Shimizu confronting social pressures within a setting blending beauty and terror, featuring striking monster designs and puzzles rooted in psychological anguish. Writer Ryukishi07 describes the narrative as a “dressed salad” of supernatural and psychological elements that clarifies as the game progresses.

Silent Hill f launches September 25 for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.
