Get ready to build your world. Minecraft Movie – only in theaters.

Minecraft Movie, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, starring Jason Momoa and Jack Black, and directed by Jared Hess, is the first live-action adaptation for the big screen of Minecraft, the best-selling video game of all time.

The film also stars Emma Myers (“Wednesday”), Oscar-nominated Danielle Brooks (“The Color Purple”), Sebastian Eugene Hansen (“Fight for Justice”, miniseries “Lisey’s Story”), and featuring Jennifer Coolidge (series “White Lotus”).

Welcome to the world of Minecraft, where creativity doesn’t just help you have fun as a builder—it’s essential to your survival! Four outsiders—Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison (Momoa), Henry (Hansen), Natalie (Emma Myers), and Dawn (Danielle Brooks)—dealing with their daily troubles suddenly get transported through a mysterious portal to the Overworld: a bizarre cubic wonderland ruled by imagination. To get back home, they’ll need to master this world (and defend it from evil creatures like Piglins and Zombies) while embarking on a magical quest with an unpredictable expert builder, Steve (Black). United on this adventure, the five will be challenged to take risks and reconnect with the unique qualities that make each extraordinarily creative… the very skills they need to thrive in the real world.

Oscar-nominated Jared Hess (“Ninety-Five Senses”, “Nacho Libre”) directed Minecraft Movie, with production by Roy Lee, Jon Berg, Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Jason Momoa, Jill Messick, Torfi Frans Olafsson, and Vu Bui. Executive producers are Todd Hallowell, Kayleen Walters, Brian Mendoza, Jonathan Spaihts, Pete Chiappetta, Andrew Lary, and Anthony Tittanegro.

Director Jared Ness’ creative production team includes BAFTA-nominated cinematographer Enrique Chediak (“127 Hours”, “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts”); Oscar-winning production designer Grant Major (“The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King”, “The Meg”); editor James Thomas (“Pokémon: Detective Pikachu”, “Borat” films); Oscar-winning visual effects supervisor Dan Lemmon (“The Jungle Book”, “The Batman”); costume designer Amanda Neale (“The Meg”, “What We Do in the Shadows”); and casting director Rachel Tenner. Music supervisors are Gabe Hilfer and Karyn Rachtman, with the original score composed by Mark Mothersbaugh (“Thor: Ragnarok”, “The LEGO Movie” films).
