Minecraft Movie, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, starring Jason Momoa and Jack Black, and directed by Jared Hess, is the first live-action adaptation for the big screen of Minecraft, the best-selling video game of all time.

The film also stars Emma Myers (“Wednesday”), Oscar-nominated Danielle Brooks (“The Color Purple”), Sebastian Eugene Hansen (“Fight for Justice”, miniseries “Lisey’s Story”), and featuring Jennifer Coolidge (series “White Lotus”).

Welcome to the world of Minecraft, where creativity doesn’t just help you have fun as a builder—it’s essential to your survival! Four outsiders—Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison (Momoa), Henry (Hansen), Natalie (Emma Myers), and Dawn (Danielle Brooks)—dealing with their daily troubles suddenly get transported through a mysterious portal to the Overworld: a bizarre cubic wonderland ruled by imagination. To get back home, they’ll need to master this world (and defend it from evil creatures like Piglins and Zombies) while embarking on a magical quest with an unpredictable expert builder, Steve (Black). United on this adventure, the five will be challenged to take risks and reconnect with the unique qualities that make each extraordinarily creative… the very skills they need to thrive in the real world.

Oscar-nominated Jared Hess (“Ninety-Five Senses”, “Nacho Libre”) directed Minecraft Movie, with production by Roy Lee, Jon Berg, Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Jason Momoa, Jill Messick, Torfi Frans Olafsson, and Vu Bui.
