Publisher Atari and developer Ilex Games have announced that Adventure of Samsara, a side-scrolling action-adventure Metroidvania capturing the spirit of Atari 2600’s Adventure, will launch on September 4 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam and GOG.

Adventure of Samsara is a mysterious 2D action-adventure Metroidvania that captures the spirit of Atari 2600 classic Adventure, taking it in a completely new and unique direction.
With striking 2D pixel art, Adventure of Samsara combines classic gameplay, a deeply interconnected world, and a complex narrative about death, rebirth, and memory. In this game developed by Brazilian studio Ilex Games, players take control of the Solar Champion—a long-dead Plutonian resurrected by the Solar Primordial Light. Tasked with reactivating a mysterious interdimensional fortress, the Champion must restore balance to the multiverse.
As players battle through diverse interconnected biomes and face brutal mutant bosses, new skills and upgrades are unlocked—each revealing deeper layers of the game’s enigmatic cosmic story.
