Age of Mythology: Retold Gets Massive Heavenly Spear Expansion in Fall 2025

Xbox Game Studios has announced the Heavenly Spear expansion for Age of Mythology: Retold will launch later in 2025.

See the description:

Launching in Fall 2025: A Divine Weapon. A Mortal Hero. A New Pantheon Awakens.

Heavenly Spear brings an entirely new Japanese Pantheon to Age of Mythology: Retold, featuring 12 new gods, each granting unique divine powers, god-specific technologies, and myth units pulled from centuries of legend.

Embark on a 12-mission campaign following Yasuko, the daughter of a humble farmer who discovers a mythical spear and is thrust into a divine war. As she uncovers the spear’s secrets, she must battle the cunning Yokai spider Magumo, the power-hungry warlord Kagemasa, and ultimately face the monstrous Yamata no Orochi, the Japanese Pantheon’s Titan.

Command new units drawn from Japanese mythology, including the famous Kitsune foxes, the deadly Jorogumo spider, and the mighty club-wielding Oni. Elite Samurai and shadowy Shinobi join your armies to add new layers of strategy and deception.
