Publisher Blumhouse Games and developer EYES OUT have announced that the psychedelic first-person horror game SLEEP AWAKE will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam in 2026.

Check out a description:

In Earth’s last city, people vanish during sleep while those staying awake endure dangerous experiments to avoid slumber. Survive violent cultists, transcendental forces, and the perpetual terror of Falling Asleep to save yourself and those depending on you.

SLEEP AWAKE is an immersive, psychedelic first-person horror narrative exploring the liminal space between sleep and death.

Forced into perpetual insomnia, residents of Earth’s last city approach panic through dangerous experiments designed to prevent Falling Asleep—the unexplained disappearance of all who slumber.

As Katja, you must survive devotees of depraved, violent cults while fighting to stay conscious. Solve puzzles across this enigmatic world while evading capture to dismantle horrors of the past.

Helmed by Cory Davis (“Spec Ops: The Line”) and Robin Finck (Nine Inch Nails), SLEEP AWAKE combines FMV sequences with psychedelic visuals, blurring boundaries between reality and imagination.

Key features:

      • A sensory psychedelic voyage: Vibrant, immersive, and visually stunning in its portrayal of terrifying reality between a decaying physical world and a symbolic transcendental realm.
      • Reclaim forgotten memories and confront your world: Katja processes grief over family lost to the Deluge that drowned Claustropolis—a disaster-ravaged city where sleep is a fate worse than death.
      • Uniquely disturbing horror gameplay: Navigate distorted reality and solve environmental puzzles. Survive unsettling enemy encounters through challenging stealth, survival, and escape sequences.
      • Immersive audio experience: Features a haunting, hypnotic score by Robin Finck of Nine Inch Nails.
