Game Informer has announced that Borderlands 4 is the cover story for the magazine’s first issue since its return.

Here’s a summary of the coverage:

We spent two days at Gearbox headquarters in Frisco, Texas, playing exclusive content and speaking with many of the people behind the highly anticipated looter-shooter. We were the first to get hands-on with all four Vault Hunters in Borderlands 4’s base game. We were also the first to explore the Carcadia Burn region, participate in various side activities within Gearbox’s seamless open world, and take a guided tour of Dominion, the walled city of the Time Lord. In the pages of our cover story, you’ll learn exclusive details from our gameplay sessions and interviews with key members of the studio’s leadership and development teams. These details will be expanded upon as our monthly coverage rolls out on GameInformer.com/Borderlands4.

Borderlands 4 launches September 12 for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. The Switch 2 version will follow later.
