The Gentlebros has announced that a free update is now available for players of Cat Quest III on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam), bringing a new set of challenges.
This new update lets players choose various stories at the game’s tavern, each recounting the battle against one of the campaign’s epic bosses, but with exaggerated twists in the new tales. Each boss fight now features quirky modifiers with increasing difficulty, adding fresh challenges to these lethal encounters; the battle against King Leokitty now has meteors raining from the sky, while Captain Meowtallika’s concert is filled with electric pulses across the screen.
For every challenge overcome, players will be rewarded with a new companion, such as Beakon—the fearless parrot who divebombs onto enemies, damaging all in its path. Players who conquer all the new challenges will also discover a secret encounter testing all their skills.
