Publisher Nuntius Games and developer 9Heads Game Studio have announced that Damned 2 will launch into Early Access on August 7, 2025, for Steam, with versions for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series releasing at a later date.
Built in Unreal Engine 5, Damned 2 marks the return of one of the most important multiplayer horror franchises in Brazilian history. Originally launched in mid-2014, the first Damned was the pioneering asymmetric horror game, kickstarting the genre that became a global phenomenon and inspiring numerous titles like Dead by Daylight (2016), Friday the 13th: The Game (2017), and many others released later. The title became a major commercial success and received an exceptionally warm reception from the global community.
Damned 2 is an asymmetric multiplayer horror experience focusing on audiovisual immersion and tactical variety. The game features highly detailed environments, advanced 3D audio, and dynamic lighting that heighten the tension around every dark corner.
Its immersive VOIP system simulates environmental echoes and reverberations, creating realistic and frightening situations for players communicating via in-game voice chat. Furthermore, the random placement of items and puzzles in each session, combined with a diversity of playable monsters possessing unique abilities, guarantees unpredictability in every play session.
