Bohemia Interactive is announcing its third major expansion for DayZ.
DayZ Badlands invites players to survive the extreme heat of Nasdara Province, a war-torn desert region where thirst is lethal and survival hinges on multiple challenging factors.
DayZ Badlands introduces the largest map in the game’s history, spanning 267 km². Located west of Chernarus and bordering Takistan, the terrain offers a desolate blend of cracked soil, sand-swept plains, and mountainous divides. Every landmass tells a story—from failed invasions to abandoned cities—and the lingering silence after global powers concluded their decades-long proxy war.
Key highlights of DayZ Badlands include:
- Expansive new terrain: Explore Nasdara Province.
- Desert environment: Face periods of drought, manage your hydration, and endure a harsh, arid climate.
- Globally scarred world: Navigate dense cities, abandoned ruins, oil fields, and other post-war infrastructure.
- Region-specific content: Encounter desert-adapted infected variants, plus new region-exclusive items, cosmetics, and firearms.
- Player-driven narrative: Form groups, uncover forgotten secrets, and decide who will rise from the ashes of conflict.
Bohemia Interactive vows to push the boundaries of survival within the DayZ universe with DayZ Badlands. From ravaged cities to silent sands, Nasdara is a land shaped by war, redefined by the outbreak, and now awaits new stories to be written in its dunes.
