A remaster of a game from the Dynasty Warriors series and a major DLC for Dynasty Warriors: Origins are in development, according to an announcement from publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Omega Force.
The announcements were made in a trailer celebrating the 25th anniversary of Dynasty Warriors, which premiered at ChinaJoy 2025.
The reveal of the remastered title starts with the text “Dynasty Warriors 9” and counts down to 8, 7, 6… until reaching “Dynasty Warriors ?”, suggesting the remaster will be a mainline entry and not a spin-off.
Details about the Dynasty Warriors: Origins DLC were not disclosed.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
