Bethesda announced that Fallout Shelter turned 10 years old on June 14.
Originally released as a surprise during E3 2015 for iOS, the game arrived on multiple platforms shortly after (including PS4) and has since reached over 230 million downloads worldwide.
Over the last decade, players have built thriving Vaults, repelled countless radioactive cockroach invasions, and kept their Dwellers well-fed and entertained — all in the name of survival.
More recently, in April 2024, the game received a major update with content inspired by the Fallout TV series, breathing new life into the Wasteland and attracting a new wave of fans. This milestone is a testament to the community that has kept the game alive and evolving for 10 years.
To celebrate the game’s 10th anniversary, Bethesda is running a special promotion offering up to 70% off on Lunchboxes. Users who log in during the anniversary period (June 16 to 21) will receive in-game exclusive gifts.
