– Story
Ivalice, a kingdom blessed by the light of the gods and ruled by Two-headed Lion. One year after its defeat to Ordallia in the conflict known as the Fifty Years’ War, the king succumbed to illness, leaving a mere two-year-old boy to inherit the throne.
Whomever became regent would wield true power, leading rival candidates to emerge: Dukes Goltanna and Larg, whose war feats earned them great renown. Goltanna, the Black Lion, and Larg, the White Lion, were destined to clash, igniting the strife that would become known as the War of the Lions.
Into this turmoil steps Ramza, third son of House Beoulve—one of the leading military families—and his childhood friend Delita, a commoner raised among nobles. As they seek purpose amid turbulent times, a powerful current draws them ever deeper toward an abyss.

Lead your squad through thrilling encounters where strategic positioning and foresight decide the outcome. Leverage diverse 3D battlefield terrain and master turn order manipulation to seize victory.
– Character Growth and Customization
Combine a vast array of Jobs and abilities to forge unique strategies.
As party members develop, they unlock additional Jobs, each specializing in unique abilities. Once mastered, skills remain accessible even after Job changes. With over 20 Jobs—including White Mage, Black Mage, Dragoon, and other FINAL FANTASY staples—and hundreds of abilities to learn, you’re free to experiment with synergistic team compositions. Chocobos and other creatures can be tamed for battle.
– Two Versions: Enhanced and Classic
Featuring enhanced visuals, full voice acting, and refined gameplay, the remastered edition offers the definitive way to experience Ivalice. Alongside dedicated tuning of numerous mechanics, a new beginner-friendly “Squire” difficulty mode makes this version perfect for newcomers.
