Final Fantasy Tactics: Ivalice Chronicles Unveils Epic New Gameplay Trailer

Square Enix has unveiled a new gameplay trailer for Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles. Check it out below.

See the game description:

– Story
Ivalice, a realm blessed by the light of the gods and ruled by Two-headed Lion. One year after its defeat by Ordallia in the conflict known as the Fifty Years’ War, the king succumbed to illness, leaving a mere two-year-old boy to assume the throne.

Whomever would be appointed Regent would become the true ruler, thus giving rise to two rival contenders: Dukes Goltanna and Larg, whose wartime deeds earned them great renown. Goltanna, the Black Lion, and Larg, the White Lion, were destined to clash, igniting a conflict that would become known as the War of the Lions.

Within this turmoil appears Ramza, third son of House Beoulve – one of the foremost military families – and his childhood friend Delita, a commoner raised among nobility. As they seek purpose in this chaotic era, a powerful current pulls them ever closer toward an abyss.

– Combat
Lead your team in thrilling encounters where strategic positioning and advance planning determine the outcome. Leverage diverse terrain across 3D battlefields and skillfully manipulate turn order to secure victory.

– Character Growth & Customization
Combine a vast variety of Jobs and abilities to forge your own strategies.

As units develop, they unlock additional Jobs – each focused on unique abilities. Once mastered, abilities remain available even when switching Jobs. With over 20 Jobs—including White Mage, Black Mage, Dragoon, and numerous others from the FINAL FANTASY series—and hundreds of abilities to master, you’re free to experiment with synergistic combinations for your roster. Chocobos and other creatures can also be tamed and deployed in battle.

– Two Versions: Enhanced & Classic
Featuring enhanced graphics, fully voice-acted dialogue, and refined gameplay, the Enhanced version offers the definitive way to experience Ivalice. Alongside dedicated balancing of battle mechanics, its accessible “Squire” difficulty setting makes this edition ideal for newcomers.

The Classic version pairs the original 1997 release’s visuals and gameplay with War of the Lions’ acclaimed localization for an authentic encounter with this beloved title.

Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles launches September 30 for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series, Switch, Switch 2, and PC.
