Deviation Games was a studio formed in 2020 by veterans from the Call of Duty franchise.
One year after its founding, the studio announced that a new IP was being developed in collaboration with Sony Interactive Entertainment for a PS5-exclusive title.
Throughout its development cycle, no official details about the project were revealed except that it was a new IP. However, rumors indicated it would be a multiplayer shooter game, an unsurprising fact considering the team’s background.

Despite Deviation Games shutting down, it was reported that Jason Blundell was establishing a new PlayStation studio, bringing along several members of Deviation’s former team. This was officially confirmed in March this year with the announcement of Dark Outlaw Games.
