HoYoverse launched today (30th) Version 5.8 for Genshin Impact.
Key highlights:
• New island area: Travelers can explore the new Breezecalm Resort located on Natlan’s western coast in Version 5.8.
• New character Ineffa: A 5-Star Electro polearm character who triggers the Lunar-Charged reaction, deals continuous damage, and can summon Birgitta for bonus attacks.
• Characters and quests: Bennett, Chasca, Mualani, and Venti return alongside the new Legendary Quest “Summer, Sun, Holiday Resort!” releasing this version.
• Asha’s exploration powers: Island mascot Asha grants dinosaur-like exploration abilities including water-walking, flight, and spray-paint puzzle-solving.
• Summer event: Players can participate in mini-games like “Journey Companionship,” “Precision Whirlwind,” and spray painting to earn Summer Fervor and unlock rewards like the Forged Wisdom sword and Bennett’s “Blazing Adventure” outfit.
• New Nod Krai story: The “Lunar Song” version series debuts in 5.8 with the “Prelude: The Road Back Home” chapter, featuring Ineffa – a multi-functional housekeeping robot.
• Yelan’s new outfit: Yelan receives a Fontaine-inspired outfit and footprint-tracking device, available for limited-time discount.
