Dear Traveler:
Thank you for your continued support of the PS4 version of Genshin Impact! Due to device performance configurations, platform size limitations, and other factors, we will no longer provide updates and support for the PS4 version of Genshin Impact starting with the next update.
The PS5 version of Genshin Impact will continue operating normally, and the gameplay experience will not be affected by the PS4 version’s discontinuation. Players will still be able to continue playing Genshin Impact on PS5 and other supported devices.
The PS4 version removal and discontinuation process will be divided into three phases: “game removal,” “discontinuation of in-game purchases,” and “game discontinuation.” Below, we detail our specific plan.
〓PS4 Game Removal〓
Starting September 10, 2025, at 06:00 (UTC+8), the PS4 version of Genshin Impact will be removed from the PlayStation Store. PlayStation Network accounts that have never acquired the PS4 version of the game will no longer be able to locate or download it from the PlayStation Store after this date.
Accounts that already have Genshin Impact in their library will still be able to reinstall the game anytime via the “Store > Game Library” section, even after the game’s removal from the PlayStation Store.
Prior to the discontinuation of PS4 version in-game purchases, players will still be able to make in-game and PlayStation Store purchases.
Before the end of updates, all Travelers can continue accessing the game normally, and PS4 devices with the game installed will still receive available updates.
〓PS4 Version In-Game Purchase Discontinuation〓
Starting February 25, 2026, at 06:00 (UTC+8), all purchasable in-game items for the PS4 version of Genshin Impact will be removed from the PlayStation Store and the in-game shop. After this date, recharging or purchases will no longer be possible in the PS4 version.
However, packs or items already purchased through the PlayStation Store but not yet redeemed in-game can still be obtained normally by logging into the PS4 version before the end of updates.
〓End of PS4 Updates〓
Starting April 8, 2026, at 06:00 (UTC+8), the PS4 version of Genshin Impact will no longer receive updates, and players will no longer be able to access the game through this platform.
Genshin Impact already installed on PS4 devices will no longer receive update notifications.
Packs or items purchased through the PlayStation Store but not yet redeemed in-game can only be obtained through the PS5 version of Genshin Impact.
〓How to Link Another Account〓
After logging into the game using PS4 or PS5, Travelers can access Paimon Menu > Settings > Account > User Center to link a new login method.
Beginning December 17, 2025, at 12:00 (UTC+8), when starting the PS4 version of Genshin Impact (including outdated versions after updates end), the account linking screen will periodically appear as a reminder.
All mentioned changes apply exclusively to the PS4 version of the game. We recommend Travelers currently playing on PS4 migrate to PS5 or other supported devices to continue playing Genshin Impact.
