Earlier today (10), PlayStation revealed DualSense and PS5 themed with Ghost of Yōtei. There are two distinct models for both the DualSense and the Covers: one with a gold tone and the other black.
As expected and previously reported by us, the black tone is exclusive to the PlayStation Direct store – which does not exist in Brazil. Consequently, this version will not be officially released here.

Inspired by Sucker Punch’s Fictional Depiction of Ezo, Featuring Designs Based on Traditional Japanese Art
We just watched an exciting State of Play with detailed analysis of Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Yōtei, which included a first preview of the PS5 Console Bundles – Ghost of Yōtei Limited Edition, featuring elaborate new console designs with matching DualSense wireless controllers.
The design is stunning and captures Sucker Punch’s fictional depiction of Ezo (now known as Hokkaido), and the world where players will explore Atsu’s revenge journey. Mount Yōtei is an emblematic landmark gracing Hokkaido’s landscape and Atsu’s own life, which is why we wanted to reflect the region’s natural beauty by honoring two beautiful Japanese visual traditions. Fans will love seeing the special embossed manufacturer emblem with PlayStation shapes on both the console cover plate and DualSense wireless controllers.
The PS5 Console Bundle – Ghost of Yōtei Gold Limited Edition will be available globally and is inspired by Japanese kintsugi art – the traditional practice of repairing ceramics with lacquer and gold. The design captures kintsugi’s essence and aesthetics, symbolizing beauty in imperfection while mirroring Atsu’s personal journey of healing and resilience against the adversities she faces.
The bundle includes a matching DualSense wireless controller featuring an imposing silhouette of Atsu printed on the touchpad.
We’re proud of this amazing design created by Sucker Punch’s teams in close collaboration with Sony Interactive Entertainment’s design group. Sucker Punch shared why they explored these unique art forms:
Inspiration for this design came directly from a core pillar of the game: heavy emphasis on exploration. This includes the hand-drawn icons Atsu marks on her map, the kintsugi-style effect on her ghost mask, and brushstrokes evoking her sumi-e paintings. Towering Mount Yōtei anchors the console design to unite these elements, while Atsu takes prominence on the DualSense controller. Each element was thoughtfully integrated across the console and controller designs.

The PS5 Console Bundle – Ghost of Yōtei Limited Edition includes a limited edition disc-drive PS5 console, matching DualSense wireless controller, and digital voucher for Ghost of Yōtei Standard Edition featuring pre-order content like an in-game exclusive mask and seven PSN avatars showcasing Atsu and all Yōtei Six members.
For existing PS5 owners (slim or PRO model group), great news: you can purchase PS5 Console Covers (slim and PRO model group) – Ghost of Yōtei Limited Edition in limited quantities from select retailers. Both covers feature the same kintsugi-inspired designs and manufacturing emblem in the Console Bundle.
The DualSense wireless controller – Ghost of Yōtei Limited Edition design will also be sold separately.
