I Hate This Place is an open-world isometric survival horror set in a disturbing and unpredictable world warped beyond comprehension. Playing as Elena, you awaken forces threatening to shatter everything you believed was real.

A Surreal Nightmare

Inspired by the Eisner Award-nominated comic series created by Kyle Starks and Artyom Topilin, I Hate This Place throws you deep into a supernatural world where reality’s rules unravel.

The absurd and the terrifying meet in this strange corner of the universe—everything here wants you dead.

Whatever you do, avoid the Antlered One at all costs.

Survival Horror with Day and Night Cycles

Safety is a rare commodity in I Hate This Place. Wild animals, mutant spiders, fanatical cult members, and deranged outlaws—all are dying to meet you.

In combat, creativity is rewarded more than brute strength. Often outgunned, you’ll need to manipulate your surroundings to level the odds against formidable foes.

Preparation is key. Resources are scarce, enemies are dangerous and unpredictable. You’ll need to craft tools to survive long enough in the wilderness to reach designated safehouses before night falls.

Because when darkness comes, you better be prepared.

Vibrant 80s-Inspired Comic Book Style

True to its source material, I Hate This Place boasts striking, vivid colors and unsettling environments, all wrapped in a glorious retro 80s aesthetic with a touch of exaggeration to soften the atmosphere.

Every location is meticulously designed to tell its own disturbing story through stylish visuals blurring the line between reality and nightmare.

Mysteries Worth Uncovering

They say the dead tell no tales. Yet, in this cursed land, every specter has a story waiting to be unearthed.

Resolve individual hauntings and you’ll start to uncover the horrific reality lurking at the heart of I Hate This Place.

But be careful—some secrets are buried for good reason.
