Publisher Skybound Games and developer Broken Mirror Games, a new subsidiary under Bloober Team, have announced that I Hate This Place, an open-world survival horror game based on the comic series of the same name, will release on November 7 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.

I Hate This Place is an isometric open-world survival horror game set in an unnerving, unpredictable world twisted beyond comprehension. Playing as Elena, you awaken forces threatening to shatter everything you believed real.

A Surreal Nightmare

Inspired by the award-winning comic series created by Kyle Starks and Artyom Topilin, I Hate This Place plunges you into a supernatural world where the rules of reality unravel.

The playful and the terrifying collide in this odd corner of the universe—everything here wants you dead.

Whatever you do, avoid the Antlered at all costs.

Survival Horror with Day/Night Cycles

Safety is a rare commodity in I Hate This Place. Wild animals, mutated spiders, deranged cultists, and crazed outlaws—all are dying to meet you.

In combat, creativity is more valuable than brute force. Often outmatched, you’ll need to manipulate your surroundings to even the odds against formidable foes.

Preparation is key. Resources are scarce, enemies are dangerous and unpredictable. You’ll have to craft tools to survive long enough in the wilderness to reach a safe house before nightfall.

Because once night falls, you better be ready.

Vibrant ’80s-Inspired Comic Book Style

Like the source material, I Hate This Place features bold, vivid colors and unsettling environments, all wrapped in a glorious retro ’80s aesthetic with a touch of exaggeration to soften the atmosphere.

Every location is meticulously designed to tell its own disturbing story through stylish visuals blurring the line between reality and nightmare.

Worthy Mysteries Uncovered

They say the dead tell no tales. But in this cursed land, every specter has a story waiting to be unearthed.

Solve individual hauntings, and you’ll begin understanding the horrific reality lurking at the heart of I Hate This Place.

But beware—some secrets are buried for good reason.
