The next chapter of Infinity Nikki unfolds with Version 1.8: Danqing Season, a breathtaking seasonal update inspired by the timeless elegance of traditional Chinese painting.
From July 30 to September 2, this immersive new story takes players to Danqing Island—a place where brushstrokes and reality intertwine.
Named after the ancient Chinese word for painting “danqing,” which refers to the vermillion and cyan-blue pigments of classical artwork, this update celebrates the color, craftsmanship, and spirit of cultural art. In the latest adventure, Nikki and Momo follow strange ripples in the Star Sea that lead them to a mysterious scroll and an island untouched by time.
Danqing Island is a secluded dream realm debuting in Version 1.8. Guided by the Oracle, Nikki ventures into a parallel world where mist-shrouded mountains, bamboo groves, and crystalline lakes merge into a living ink painting. But beneath this serene landscape hides a growing mystery: villagers have begun vanishing, and only by unraveling the island’s secrets can Nikki bring them back.
Alongside a new main story, Danqing Season offers players immersive minigames and activities: play traditional Weiqi (Go), drift lazily on bamboo rafts, snap photos with filters inspired by classical Chinese aesthetics, and collect elegant outfits drawn from historical fashion.
At the heart of the island’s tradition lies a solemn annual ritual where an honored artist paints and awakens the White Loong, rousing its spirit to protect the realm. This season’s new boss, Inkshade: Painting Loong, guards the mysteries lurking within the ink-drenched heart of the island.

- Forever Bond (5-star outfit) – Unleash a venom talisman that activates poison mist and leaves creepy makeup effects, even in Photo Mode. This outfit draws from legends of the spirit cat, a mystical shapeshifter that guides and protects travelers from the spirit realm.
- Danqing Craft (Ability outfit) – Grants Nikki the power to restore ink-transformed objects to their original form, reshaping her surroundings through artistic inspiration and creativity.
