As revealed around launch time, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach features a birthday scene.
This scene occurs on the date selected in the player’s birthday settings. The video below explains further in case you’re unaware or haven’t seen it.
Previously, Kojima shared that this birthday scene in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach was filmed on Elle Fanning’s actual birthday.
He mentioned they shot two takes: one scripted sequence, and another where Kojima surprised Elle with a cake after filming. The surprise take was implemented in-game, meaning Kojima would’ve appeared holding a cake for Elle post-scene.
