Publisher 2K and developer Hangar 13 have released a new gameplay trailer for Mafia: The Old Country.

Working for the Family demands grit and ruthlessness from Enzo, but even life in Torrisi village has fleeting moments of beauty. In our latest video, Cesare describes less-bloody pursuits – savoring vintage famiglia wine, racing cars through ancient ruins, or exploring breathtaking vistas alongside new companions on horseback.

Regardless of which Sicilian countryside vistas you linger on, we wanted Mafia: The Old Country to illustrate why so many legendary men in American mafia films speak so fondly of their homeland.

This reputation extends to San Celeste’s pleasures too, with Cesare proudly stating he would kill to protect Torrisi territory. He’s right to stay vigilant, speaking of “wolves” prowling the hills—many covet Don Corleone’s power and luxurious comforts. Enzo must stand ready to defend Don Corleone’s enterprises by any means necessary, repaying the new life he was given.

Check out the game description:

Uncover the origins of organized crime in Mafia: The Old Country, a gritty mafia saga set in the brutal underworld of early 20th century Sicily. Fight to survive as Enzo Favara and prove your worth to the famiglia in this grounded third-person action experience, unfolding during a dangerous and unforgiving historical period.

Enzo will go to any lengths for a better life. After a brutal childhood marked by bonded labor, he’s ready to risk it all to be recognized as a man of honor by the Torrisi family.

But pledging loyalty to the mafia carries a price. Power, trials, violence – and one absolute truth:

Family demands sacrifices.

This gripping story comes alive through the arresting visuals, cinematic storytelling, and authentic realism that made the acclaimed Mafia series famous. Enzo’s tale unfolds in an era where stiletto blade skill proved lethal, the sawed-off lupara shotgun reigned supreme, vendettas bled through generations, and mafiosi patrolled their territories on foot, horseback, or behind the wheel of pioneering automobiles.

Mafia: The Old Country launches on August 8th for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.
