Square Enix has officially announced The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales during today’s (July 31) Nintendo Direct. The release is scheduled for 2026.
Although the announcement was initially made for Switch 2, Square Enix has already confirmed (on the official website) that the title will also come to PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.

We’re pleased to announce a new action RPG: The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales! It’s coming to Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and Microsoft Store in 2026, but Switch 2 users can already play it via a demo!
Developed by Team Asano (creators of the OCTOPATH TRAVELER, BRAVELY DEFAULT, and TRIANGLE STRATEGY series), this exciting new game puts you in the shoes of Elliot, a skilled adventurer who embarks on a mission to explore newly discovered ruins. Soon, he’s swept into a thrilling journey that will echo through time and space.
As Elliot, you’ll explore a beautiful and vast world, filled with enemies to defeat in intense, action-packed battles, deadly caves and ruins to explore, and many secrets to uncover. Elliot can wield seven different weapon types, from simple swords for close-range attacks to scythes and chains for pulling enemies closer.
You’re accompanied on your journey by Faie, a fairy whose abilities prove invaluable both in and out of battle. Faie’s powers will let you teleport short distances, run around the world at superspeed, and more!
