SEGA has unveiled the latest trailer for Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2, offering fans more details on the game’s improved combat mechanics alongside the new Gear System and Path of Training mode.

New Details Revealed
A variety of new systems and mechanics will be part of The Hinokami Chronicles 2, including:
Dual Ultimates
Players will be able to form duos with specific character combinations to unleash new and stylish Dual Ultimates to devastate opponents. Use this power of forged bonds to gain an edge!
Gear System
Customize your gear to get ahead in battle! In both Story Mode and VS Mode, players can equip up to 3 items per character, including gear that increases poison resistance or gradually recovers HP over time. Many different items can be unlocked in-game, so choose carefully!
Training Paths
Challenge yourself by facing the Hashira! After choosing your path and which Hashira to challenge, advance through tournament brackets with shifting victory conditions, making each tournament round fresh and engaging.
The Path of a Demon Slayer
Need a refresher? This mode lets you revisit story content from The Hinokami Chronicles 1 by battling through key moments from the Unwavering Resolve Arc to the Mugen Train Arc.
Mastery
By using different characters in Story Mode or VS Mode, players increase their Mastery level. Each level unlocks rewards like stickers or profile backgrounds to customize your Slayer ID (the player’s online profile).
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2 will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam on August 1 in Japan and August 5 in the West.
