Publisher Humble Games and developer Pocketwatch Games announced that a free update for the heist simulator Monaco 2 will launch on June 18th.

In Monaco 2’s new player-versus-player (PvP) mode, the first to collect 200 coins in this free-roam mode for up to four players wins. Simple enough for any self-respecting thief, right? But coin collecting isn’t all you’ll deal with. Limited ammunition and fast-paced chases create chaotic, high-stakes confrontations. Coins will spawn throughout the level over time, and defeating an opponent lets you steal a portion of their loot. See how each of the three new PVP levels puts its own twist on ramping up the chaotic stakes.

- Café Shootout – The race kicks off in this arena as you aim to loot 200 coins before everyone else. Keep an eye on the leaderboard and try to defeat whoever’s ahead to pilfer some of their coins. Make sure your aim is true, as your ammunition is limited.
- The Hotel – Not only will you need to steal your way to 200 coins, but you’ll have to do it without alerting civilians in the bustling hotel to your sticky fingers. Oh, and you can teleport too.
- The Graveyard – The danger level ramps up here, with guards looming throughout the cemetery ready to halt your gold-snatching schemes. You’ll need to be not just faster than your opponents, but stealthier too.

Alongside new levels and hijinks in the player-versus-player mode, players can also equip eight new character skins inspired by Monaco: What’s Yours is Mine. Responding to fan feedback, Pocketwatch Games has implemented multiple balance tweaks to later game stages, including significant adjustments to the challenging Prison level.
