Capcom has announced Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC via Steam. The release is scheduled for 2026.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection tells the tale of two nations on the path to ruin. Amid the encroaching crystal invasion plaguing the lands of Azuria and Vermeil, the discovery of a mysterious egg brings hope. From its shell hatches a monster long thought to be extinct – a Rathalos. However, this glimmer of hope quickly gives way to despair when a second monster emerges from the egg. The twin Rathalos share the same mark as the Skyscale twin Rathalos, portents of destruction dating back to a civil war fought 200 years ago. As the environment deteriorates and monsters face the threat of extinction, the flames of war begin to ignite once more.
In this story, players take on the role of the heir to Azuria. Endowed with special abilities that have led him to become the leader of the Riders and the sole Rathalos Rider in the kingdom, the protagonist passionately fulfills his duties, protecting monsters and investigating Egg Quartz. However, a transformative event soon leads him to investigate the strange phenomena threatening the world. In search of the truth, he sets out for the forbidden land beyond the Meridian.
The hero is accompanied on his journey by Eleanor, Princess of Vermeil. Concerned by the worsening situation, she offers herself as a “hostage” to Azuria in hopes of easing tensions between the two nations. Moved by the efforts of the Riders, Eleanor and her beloved Monstie Anjanath join the journey, seeking to uncover the true intentions of her sister, the Queen of Vermeil. United under the encroaching shadow of calamity, they enter the torrent of fate and venture into forbidden territory.
